Plastic Food Grade barrels have many potential uses on a Ranch, Farm, Kennel, or in your Garden! We have food grade barrels (blue $20 & white $25) available for purchase at the Julian Cider Mill. The Julian Cider mill is open 7 days a week and you can pick up your barrel any day from 10 AM to 5 PM.
Ranch & Farm
Plastic food grade barrels make fantastic storage for grain and feed. Cut the top off and you have lots of storage! They plastic keeps water and dust out of your feed. They even make great trash cans too! How many ways can you think to use a barrel on a ranch?
Kennel
Cut the top off of the barrel (be sure to smooth the edges) and lay the barrel on its side. This makes the perfect kennel home! Our dogs love their barrel homes. The plastic insulates them from the cold in the winter and the heat in the summer. Its waterproof to protect from any misty or rainy days. It is also easy to clean! You can spray them out and deep clean them. We like to bleach ours a few times a year (of course make sure to rinse the houses and air them out before letting your four legged friend move back in)!
Garden
Looking to start a garden? We love this idea of using food grade barrels to created raised flower beds. Plant strawberries, or add wood to give a planter an upscale look! These barrels are food grade so they are great for storing water or collecting rain water for your garden!
